Named Defensive Player of the week. Two sacks, one forced fumble that resulted in a TD.

Riley Lovingood named co special teams player of the week.

It was a heck of a play by Lovingood. To snap the ball and then hustle downfield in time to catch the punt coming down is pretty neat. Although it didn't get the press of the last play, IMO it probably was the play of the game because it set up the fumble recovery in the endzone.

If that ball goes in the end zone vols never get the sack fumble TD. Easton never throws his long TD pass. Vols never answer with a long last Second TD pass.

Really was a great special teams play with a great defensive play to back it up.

I'm sure General Neyland was sitting up there smiling about that special teams play.

Barnett is getting some Heisman attention  !

Would be tough for a defensive of player that doesn't play special teams or handle the ball... Just sayin..... :)

Oh, he doesn't have a shot at winning, but would be cool to get invited!

Now, a pick 6 or sack & fumble return against Bama to seal a win would probably vault him to the top with all of the national Bama hatred :D !

Exactly. The kicking game is where the breaks are made.

It's good to once again have a coach at UT with Neyland's views and passion on special teams. We haven't had that since Johnny Majors.

The crazy thing about Barnett is he gets all of his stats against the SEC, he didn't do much of anything in the first 3 games but he was dominant against Florida and Georgia.

He realized that he needed to step up his game when Kirkland, Reeves-Maybin, and Sutton went down. He has also become more of a vocal leader.

All I know is that he's making himself a lot of $$$.

He may be the most important player on that team.

Right now he is the cog that makes the defense go. Need to get Kirkland back. I think JRM is done as a Vol and Butch says Cam could be back towards the end of the year but Id say hes done also.

I agree. If I'm Cam, I move on and try to get ready for the combine. Not a chance I'd risk injury at that point and jeopardize NFL $$$.
