If Vandy wants to be somewhat relevant, they need to hire Ken Niumatalolo.
 
Hope UF hires him and lets Grantham go as defensive coordinator

You are correct but there is a reason they are overmatched. They only take student athletes. They have academic standards and character standards. They don't take any thug that can ball, let him take underwater basketweaving every semester, and look the other way when there's illegal guns and drug arrests. I commend Vanderbilt on doing things the right way, whether they win or not.
 
I'm no Vandy fan but I sort of agree with spur hunter. Plus I am a sports fan and even though football is king they've held their own on the diamond pretty well the last few years

That's not entirely true. I read an article that said that at the time of the article, over 80% of the top 250 recruits met Vandy's academic requirements. Stanford and Duke are equally stringent academically and they both have successful athletics. It's a matter of priority. Vanderbilt's football stadium is an absolute dump. Players don't want to play there. On the other hand, their baseball stadium is one of, if not the finest in the nation.

If winning isn't a priority, why even have a program? That goes for any sport.

Didn't they have half a football team on trial for rape?
I'm at the point only thugs play football. The last player I remember that wasn't a POS was Tebow and they got rid of his ASAP.
