Diamond vs Mathews

Mathews all the way. Buddy of mine has a diamond and its nice I just don't like the way it shoots. But they are both great bows really it comes down to what you are more comfortable with. Pick your poison

It all depends on how they feel to you. I haven't ever shot a Diamond but I've owned a couple Mathews. It's kind of like apples to oranges IMO. A Diamond won't have the bells a whistles a Mathews would because they are kinda like Mathews Mission line for Bowtech. I'm not saying they aren't good. I'm just saying its kinda like comparing a stripped down new car of one make to a another brand car that has all the bells and whistles.

what Airman said. If your considering a Diamond might want to compare it to some of the Mission bows. Still mighty fine bows for a good bit less.

Never shot a Diamond, and did not like the way Mathews felt until I picked up MY Drenalin...she came home with me and will be with me as long as I can pull a string.

I have a Diamond Black Ice and really like it.It is not the fastest bow out there but it is smooth and the grip is the best one I have tried.

You'll have to shoot both of them and see which one fits/feels the best to you. The bow will pick you!

Both are very nice bows that will shoot and perform well.... So get the one that feels best in your hands

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Personally Im a Bowtech guy but I have to say that the Z7 is one heck of a bow. It a close second to the General in being absolutly dead in your hand imo.

Not really I shot a 3D shoot the other day and the other 4 shooters in our group all had Mathews and I beat them all. Two were Z7's and I had not shot my bow since October. :D Sorry couldn't resist.

Now back to the original question.

Like was already said Diamond is the cheaper line for Bowtech so not really comparing apples to apples. Most all your major brands are good bows now days. You mainly only have bows that are poorly matched to the shooter. The only way you will know what is best for you is try them both and shoot them several times not just a couple arrows out of each bow.

Although Diamond is less expensive, it is NOT the cheaper line for Bowtech. Diamond is a single cam bow and Bowtech's are binary.

Yeah Diamond's top end bows are as good as anything out there but they also offer some lower priced bows as well.I also think seeing them in the big box stores gives people the wrong idea about them.
