I planted a small plot about the first of october (expecting some rain)
Anyway no rain...and still no rain...

It's supposed to rain this evening....will anything grow...or has the little tweety birds eaten all the seed?

I'm gonna try to get out there today an spread some and drag it...but if'n i don't will this plot grow anything but weeds?

I would plant. Rain looks good for Monday night into Tuesday moring and then again Thursday.

You wouldn't believe how long seed will last, even laying on top the ground. Buckwheat seed I broadcast on top the ground in mid-July actually germinated (what the turkeys hadn't eaten) when we got our first rain in September.

I planted last night. I did three fields in the dark. They were about a 1/4 acre each. I need some rain in Marshal Co.

that is what i did too... in the light of the headlights i reseeded that plot thinking i was gonna get rain last night...woke up this morning and I'm not sure we got much more than a sprinkle last night...did you get any down in Marshall?
