Disappointing start

Have been out 7-8 times so far , haven't heard a gobble or seen a Tom. One spot is about 200 acres, and other farm is 150.
Have seen a couple hens . Got on the back side of my fil's farm this morning and some piece of crap has stolen one of my cameras. Think I know who it was but can't prove it of course. I hate trespassers!I was pumped up for this season, feel like calling it quits for this year. Rant over.

What area of the state? Lots of my old places in Wayne, Lawrence, and Giles have zero turkeys on them, besides a hen or two in spring/summer that will try to nest somewhere. Sadly doesn't seem like they are ever successful.
