I never have done anything with the beards that came off man's double bearded turkey a few years ago.

When we were caping the bird out, when we got ready to cut the beards off my buddy grabbed ahold of the smaller (6") beard to cut around them both and the small one just popped off.

Looking for ideas on how to display them.

I know alot of people use the shell or just the brass of it.

I was thinking maybe just the brass then glue both beards into it so they stick out seperately?

Just looking for ideas.

That may work. Not sure if they would both fit in a 12 gauge shell depending on how big the fleshy part of the beards are. I will look and see if I can find any ideas.

Ruger I found this on a forum.

If you only want to do a fan beard display, what we here at our shop do is. detatch both beards, process them as usual. Then take the empty hull, and cut a wied enough slit all the way down to the barss wide enough to allow you to slide the beards in. then display it in a horizontal position just below the fan. hope this helps

I always separate the two beards. I put the main beard in a 12 gauge brass and second in a 410 brass. Then supper glu the two together. I always knock the primer out and use leather shoe strings to hang the beards with.
