Im looking for a place also. There is a fair amount of public land up there also.

I hunted up there 2 years ago for the first time. I saw 11 different bucks on the first day on public land. Check out Wayne National Forest. It's in southern Ohio right across the ohio river from Kentucky. Pretty much a straight shot up I75. I saw 24 deer that day. Would love to go back, work hasn't permitted me time to.

Yep have been for the last 5 years now and love it. Usally hunt the week of our youth season and it's usally really rocking up there then!!!

There is a ton of public ground in Ohio. Wayne National Forest, state Lands, AEP has land, state parks with draw hunts, etc etc

I would advise you to contact ODNR they will send you a non resident information packet.

IF you call the Dnr they will send you all the information you need.
I would personally stay in the south but that's up to you. I have hunted public and private land. Monsters on both but they ain't behind every tree. there is also private/farm land list they will send you.
