Or get weak after alot of shots? I have a dozen Goldtip 5575 arrows. I have shot Six of them all year.(hundreds of shots each)... The other six were in my quiver for hunting..... Just this evening before Church, i pulled the six out of the quiver. & shot.... They were quite different. The older arrows were tuned with broadheads a couple weeks ago and the new with broadheads were not even close at 30 yards... maybe the spine weakens?....

I guess I can respond to my own thread......

I googled the same question & was actually surprised at the search results........ It seems that carbon arrows will lose spine after hundreds of shots..... Supposedly heat is generated as the arrow enters the target & fibres begin to break down.... Also the impact causes a little damage each time the arrow is shot (Smacking arrows off of each other dont help either)Hmmmmm... So I wonder if my arrows with 800 shots each are a little different than brand new ones... Who knows?

Yea the spine can break down. but the 5575 are a weak spine arrow. Unless your shooting low pounds with a short draw they might be a little on the weakside.

I still have many of different kinds that shoot well, getting a quiver full of the same kind gets more difficult with age. Might have a lot to do with how they are kept.
