DOBBS NAMED TO SEC COMMUNITY SERVICE TEAM
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Tennessee junior quarterback Joshua Dobbs has been named to the 2015 SEC Community Service Team for football, as announced by the Southeastern Conference office.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
The other members of the 2015 SEC Football Community Service Team include Alabama's Reggie Ragland, Arkansas' Deatrich Wise, Jr., Auburn's Jonathan Wallace, Florida's Mark Herndon, Georgia's Malcolm Mitchell, Kentucky's Landon Foster, LSU's Jamie Keehn, Ole Miss' Jamie Keehn, Mississippi State's Taveze Calhoun, Missouri's Clarence Green, South Carolina's Elliott Fry, Texas A&M's Conner McQueen and Vanderbilt's Stephen Weatherly.

Dobbs has volunteered at numerous events and he has spent much of his free time making a difference in the community. His volunteer work has included:
- 7U Pee Wee Football EKAA Runners - visitor and speaker
- UT Medical Center and East Tennessee Children's Hospital - visitor
- Manning Passing Academy - counselor
- Elite 11 Finals Camp - counselor
- QB Centric Camp - volunteer
- 100 Black Men of Greater Knoxville 20th Anniversary Gala - keynote speaker
- Educators for Excellence -- Reach Them To Team Them - speaker
- WomEngineers Day 2015 - panelist and moderator
- Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon - volunteer
- 2015 Honors Day - speaker

Dobbs helped lead the Vols to an 8-4 regular-season record — the program's first eight-win season since 2007. He has enjoyed his best season on the field, passing for a career-high 2,125 yards with 15 touchdowns to just five interceptions. He also ran for a career-best 623 yards, breaking Jimmy Streater's single-season record for most rushing yards by a quarterback (593 in 1978).
Tennessee is bowl-eligible for the second-straight year and on Dec. 6 the Vols will learn where they'll play their postseason game.
