Dobbs

Not to shabby for a guy I was calling to be benched mid second quarter  :D !

No way. He's not a good qb and can't throw it down field. I've read it right here from more than one. Apparently they didn't ask the tndeer sports gurus. :poke: :moon: :tu: congrats to him!

Still stands..... Most of his down field passes were bounce passes. The missed tackles by GA and YAC helped Dobbs stats. His passing % was still under 60% for the game and passing yards per comp. was 7.4 yards. No one ever said that he's not a good rushing QB.....

Winning one game doesn't make you a good QB and you are still reading it right here..... :tu: :rotf: :rotf:

300/100 game QBs

Manziel- 4 games

Dobbs -- 2 games

Tebow --- 1 game

Waiting on "Georgia's defense is not very good". :tu:

247-

No offense has produced more yards against Jeremy Pruitt during the coordinator's stint at Georgia.

Even with all the injuries on O-line, they only allowed one sack

Okay... A two game wonder. Here's the question you have to ask??? Who has Dobbs beat besides GA???

The other two QBs you mentioned beat some good teams.... :)

Way too many bad throws to open receivers and several that were saved by the receivers. Without any one of the three bad throws saved by the receivers that come to mind getting made we lose. No problem with him being named player of week as the he got the stats. But if he can't start making better throws we'll lose more games we shouldn't have.

I predicted this team at 7-5 due to the lack of experienced depth and unforeseen injuries that were bound to happen. However, his lack of passing was not factor I figured on.

It's OK to give him a compliment. Not sure he's the qb to take us where we need to be but he did Saturday. As for his accuracy I know of three times I heard the radio announcer say he missed wide open receivers and all were under thrown. That's got to change.

Dobbs has 11 career starts. Not even a full season. You want to compare a guy to two Heisman winners with complete college careers to a kid with 11 career starts? Dobbs has two 300/100 games in 11 games. Run that percentage.

In a couple weeks, the fans will be wanting to bench him again.... :)

Not if Jones and Debord call decent games and let Dobbs do Dobbs.

I wont be anyway.

I also was listening to the game. You could hear the frustration in Tim Priest's voice. I think there is little question that Dormady is the better passing QB.

With that said, you have to love the guy's heart. 5 more yards and he would have stripped the ball from the UGA player on the fumble return before he got to the end zone.

We now know why he couldn't beat out Worley last year. Of course some wanted to use his end of season performance as an indictment of Butch, but now they have flipped and use it as a slam against Dobbs. Flip-floppers :D !

With the shape of the OLine, he gives us the best chance to win. His missing open receivers just gets frustrating. Just a throw or two in a couple of games, and we are 5-1. Oh well, still a lot of ball to be played and there will be many more ups and downs as the season goes along.

Listen, I get that Dobbs is not as accurate as everybody would like for him to be. He has made some throws that has left me scratching my head. But I am not convinced that he is so horrible he should be benched.

He does well when he starts playing loose and they let him play his game. How many catchable passes have we seen this year that the recievers flat out dropped? Anybody?

I think you misunderstood me. I don't want him benched. I just said that Dormady is the better passer. There is no way that he could elude rushers, get the rushing yards, recognixe defenses etc. that Dobbs gives us. Dobbs gives us the best shot at winning, and that's what its all about.
