I was driving home today from Gallatin and thought that I would cruise the old 109 for old time's sake. As I was nearing the bottom of the ridge just past the old KDF station I saw a deer standing in the middle of the road up ahead.
The way she was moving and from what I could see I thought she's been hit. It looked as if she had a broken leg. But still being a good ways off 150 yards or so I wasn't sure so I slowed down grabbed my phone to call the sheriff's dept.
Then she moved again. I had to shake my head because I thought I saw 8 legs. I'm diabetic so things like this happen to my vision from time to time. But I did see 8 legs. She was nudging her fawn across the road. Pretty neat.
