I know that doe fawns can breed usually in Jan but Ive never read anywhere about whether Button bucks can breed a doe fawn or an adult doe!Anyone ever see where this can occur or not?I have seen button bucks chase does during the deer season every year!

I think it's biologically possible, but generally they don't have the testosterone levels high enough to drive them to breed.

But what I do find fascinating/curious is how mesmerized button bucks are by active scrapes. I will get them on camera coming back over and over to scrapes, and acting bizarrely, jumping and grabbing at the overhead limb.

On the adult does I've seen being harassed by a button buck....even when the adult doe stops to eat a bite....giving the button buck an opportunity to mount ....let's just say, being so short, the poor fella had alignment issues....I'll give him credit though....he tried...:)

Funny you should say that.. I saved this picture because it made me laugh. It had been tended by 3 different 3+ year olds within the last few hours of that.
