I just got a new (to me) bow. I wanted to get a bow that was longer and a little more forgiving since I am a tall guy and an average archer and this bow seems to have both. It has an overdraw on it however, and I'm not sure if that effects the torque and forgiveness of a bow, but I was wondering if someone on here could tell me. THanks

Yes, the overdraw will definately affect the forgiveness of the bow, by exagerrating the torque applied to the grip. Ideally, the rest would support the arrow directly above the pressure point of the grip. With the advent of the carbon arrows the overdraw was largely shunned. The arrow weight could be reduced enough to make minimum weight of the arrow without the added issues of an overdraw, by switching to carbon.

Thanks a lot. I thought it might, I am going to put a new rest on it. Or a used one if anyone knows of one for sale:)

Be sure too that your arrows aren't too light. This can also screw a bow up in a hurry. Arrow weight should be 5 grains per each pound of draw weight by standard. Just a thought
