bow hunt from the ground either using a burlap net or stalk? i was given permission to hunt 500 acres and we saw 6 doe and a 6 point when we went to scout one of the fields thursday. i was going to hunt gun for sure, but i got a mathews for an early christmas present and have been shooting tight groups out to 30 yards. i don't have any gun doe tags this year. will i even have a chance or should i just hang it up til gun opens? btw...don't have funds for a climber right now.

I've hunted many times on the ground with good cover behind me and have had shots. Like suggested above, fallen limbs / tree tops make good cover. Get as comfortable as possible so you don't have to move around much. Good luck.
