So does Butch Jones get credit for seeing talent in Kamara and recruiting him, or does he lose cred for not having a clue as to what he had. Kamara had 8 starts out of 24 games at UT. The guy that had the most starts transferred out at another position.

His NFL rookie year he was only the 11th 700 rushing 800 yard passing player ever.

He is also the first player in NFL history to have 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in his first 20 games.

Kamara owes Butch a lot for allowing him to save his body for the NFL and not waste it on running up and down the field in college football games.

Bama is the one that recruited and signed Alvin. He got suspended and injuried at Bama before ending up at TN. I give CBJ little or no credit because the kid was good prior to ending up at TN.

Yeah I agree with GnB Bama running backs turn out pretty good most the time it was a easy choice for CBJ to grab him when he had the chance.

Hurd was HIS guy that big 5* he recruited himself....that he got to sign with UT to buy into his program from day 1. Hurd came in had a real good 2 years. about as good as anyone who comes in as a freshman HB and plays early right away in the SEC. I think he wanted to stand by him untill the wheels fell off and they did in year #3 for Hurd

Hurd had 21 Tds & 2600 yards from the line of scrimmage in his first 2 years at UT I know people like to bash him, but that's not bad ball right there.

That's great ball and Hurd was done wrong by Butch just like so many other players. Promised him one thing and forced him to do the opposite. Once all the dust settled, I didn't blame Hurd for leaving at all.

Butch was a cancer and gets zero credit for Kamara.
