Breasted out carcass thrown out on the side of the road.... just tacky and as trashy as the folks who dump deer carcasses on roads with backstraps cut out

I agree.

But with that said, what is the "proper" way to dispose of a carcass?

I agree. I found one on the side of the road by my place a couple of days ago that just had the beard and spurs cut off.

Yep, I was pissed. I imagine they just shot it off the road. The bird had a pretty fan, I cut it off and it's drying.

I agree. Terrible. Some moron actually threw one out in my brother in laws yard and he called the warden because he didn't want anybody thinking he had killed it. The warden took it. Tested it. Pulled over a couple guys in the area that had posted on Instagram about recent kills. They had blood in there truck and he tested it and it matched lol. Then they admitted it. Several tickets going there way. Ha ha

I saw 2, not one but 2, on way back to Jackson from Nashville on i40. On the darn shoulder. Slowed down and made sure weren't buzzards. That's sorry

Are you sure they weren't ran over? It happens.

^^^ LOTS of hens get ran over on the shoulder this time of year. It's like they lose their mind and sense of awareness once they go into their nesting phase. Unfortunately, I see several hens every spring dead on the shoulder.
