On your trolling motor every once in a while.
We got into some the other day and when I got home I found more that had been on there a while.

Don't forget your outboard prop also,I check mine a couple times a year

My brother went out with my grandad once and they were trolling for shrimp and my brother was sitting on the stern and watched the prop go sailing off into the water. Good thing they had another. But he had to go overboard and change it in very cold water.

yep +1. a birds nest like that would cut the seal and drain all your lower unit oil out quick.
