Anybody use a dovetail - if so do you like it - Ive been thinking about getting a 4inch one with a Black Gold sight and was wondering if they hold up well - do they stay sighted in if removed and do they help any with accuracy being out further than norm - i don't like the idea of removing a sight, thats why I'll probably get the 4in, and hopefully find a case that will accommodate for that. - It's just a preference thing for me - thought I might try something new - all opinions welcome.

Dovetail Sights??

I shoot with a Black Gold Ascent with a 4" dovetail base. It's very nice to be able to remove the sight to blank bale or make adjustments to the bubble level. I keep my extended out to the max. I talked to Black Gold customer service about whether to get the 4" or 6" dove tail on a hunting sight. He recommended 4".

I shoot a 6in dovetail and love it. I was nervous about using one, but after having it for a while Im really glad I made the switch
