Draw Lenth

A general rule of thumb is to stand erect, but do not stretch, with your arms straight out to the side, forming a "T", and your thumbs up and have someone measure from the tip of one middle finger to the other and then divide by 2.5. Another rule-of-thumb measurement is to stand in front of a wall in a stance like you are going to shoot a bow and make a fist and then put the fist against the wall directly in front of you at nose level and have someone measure from the wall to the opposite corner of your mouth. Keep in mind that both of these are only guidelines and will get you in the ballpark. Your absolute best bet, and what I recommend you do, is to visit a proshop or find someone that knows what they are doing to get your exact and correct draw-length measurement.

Hold a tape measure in your left hand and pull the tape back to the corner of your mouth with your right hand, like you were drawing a bow, and lock it. Add 2 inches to the reading.

spot on

To even further complicate this....a lot of bow companies fudge on their bows. A bow may have a listed IBO of 350 fps and that attracts a lot of attention...until you realize that they run a half inch+ longer than what's on the sticker.

So beware of that too. I had a Mathews MR6 that I got in my draw length...when it came in it felt way long. We measured the actual AMO draw length of the bow...and with it in time and specs, it was a half inch longer than what it was supposed to be. After checking the others they got in...same thing...so some bows run long on the draw. The newer PSE bows are spot on...the Elites are too.

I had never heard of this but I tied it and it's acually spot on!
