No pull up rope on a buddies stand so i was hangin it on each step while climbing up. Then I bumpted it and it fell from about 12 feet. Broke my quiver off so I need a new one now. But I did shoot a doe a little later so the bow is still in good shape.

That's good that it didn't hurt the bow. I fell yesterday and did some harm to my knees and hand but didn't let the bow take more than a little bump, thank goodness.

Seems like every time I climb a tree I am doing something like this. I either don't have the climber adjusted right so I gotta climb all the way back down or I forget something on the ground without hooking it to my pull up rope. Or I am dropping something. I'll get the hang of it eventually I reckon.

Dang bow are you OK? Didnt know you fell was it your stand that caused it?

I did too my swivel bow holder broke. As I was climbing down to inspect bow guess what walked in I was six foot up making all kinds of noise and this doe walks in 10 yards did not spook amazing! bow seems fine

K

That right there is exactly why, in my backpack, I keep a pull rope with one of those big treble hooks on it. Then you lower the hook, grab it and pull. No need to have to go down and back up again.

I have the same thing Knothead comes in handy when you drop something to the ground the treble hook works great but will not pick up the CAN the ones with the estrous bleat thinking about supergluing a string to the side of it.Good Luck keep hunting (:
