Prolly gonna be best to set up against that Mustang's left rear quarter panel and give a few soft tree calls. Don't call anymore until he pitches down off the mailbox...dang yardbirds.

If you get that close to a bird while hiding inside a vehicle with a shiny reflective bumper, is that technically reaping?

id say it would be more like "creeping" by todays standards :)

He was the only gobbler? No jakes?

Close by is a group of a 4-5 gobblers all looking at each other trying to decide which one is going to challenge his dominance :D !

he was the only one in that group with all hens today...there is normally 2 other toms with him in that group. all 3 were jakes last year so its been cool to see them grow to this year. Hopefully they will be minus 1 come early april :)

Could probably get away with reaping that bird using a metal trash can lid; he'd attack that shiny intruder with a vengeance. I've had real good luck with the galvanized lids but am gonna try a purple Rubbermaid lid this year on a couple of neighborhood gobblers.

I guess you could reap and creep with a fan, since all of this nasty weather has them strutting and gobbling
