Yep it seems they like different areas better than others.
I have also noticed these spots change from spring to fall.
Good spots to set up and "deer hunt" the birds.

Do they come back to the same places fall after fall and spring after spring or do they change every year? Also do you think this activity takes place all year long or just in the warmer months? I'm thinking of working up a spot and providing a dusting area but not real sure how this behavior takes place year after year.
they will dust more in the hotter weather when mites and other bugs are bothering them, will still do it from time to time in the winter but not as much.
