This old boy was lonely this morning. Had actually spotted another in the tree walking in so I sat down and this one sounded off about 30 yrds behind me. Didn't take much one little yelp to let him know his girl was here and just listened to him blow the woods up looking for her. He pitched out at about 35 yrds. And that was it. 10 5 beard 1 1/8 and broke .5 in spurs. Didn't weigh but he was light.

Very nice and think just a couple of weeks ago the monkey was riding you. I told you to stick with it, it always pays off as the hens start to wander

Yea man I was definitely frustrated a couple weeks ago just in the fact that in 20 yrs. of hunting these birds I'd never had a season like it. The last week I've killed 2 and dad 1 so it's ending about as good as bad as it started. I got one more bird on another farm that will be getting my attention now. There are others there but me and this one have some business to get to.
