Early season gear

I got a fanny pack I have carried the past couple of years since I started hunting, but it sure is full of junk I won't need I guess early season. What all do y'all carry with you up the tree?
 
Early Season...
Release on my bow and quiver on my bow

In the pack:
extra release
pull up rope
face mask and gloves
knife
binos
rangefinder
ziplock bag with gutting gloves and wipes in it
flashlight
water & snacks
thermacell
phone (was a blackberry now an iphone...great for watching the radar and killing time)
book
screw in hooks to hang pack and bow

I attach my quiver to the fanny pack with a little tie when I'm up the tree.

There are probably a few things I'm missing.
 
I just did an inventory and booted the handwarmers, coughdrops, and scent killer spray (will keep at the truck). Here is what I have:

Bow hanger
Quiver hanger
Hand pruners
Foldable handsaw
Grunt tube
Bleat can
Windicator
Gloves for gutting
Nikon Monarch ATB binos
Leupold range finder
optics cleaner and cloth
Fog Eliminator cloth
 
Sissies carrying gloves for gutting deer.(J/K) I was taught to use my bare hands and that is what I do. but I never gut it until I have good feild photos and then I take it to the ditch to gut it or I have a bottle of water to wash my hands off with.
 
My pack consists of..

I use a bowholder on my stand, and I lay my quiver between the rails on the platform of my stand.

toilet paper in ziploc bag
rubber gloves in ziploc bag

back-up flashlight
extra batteries

bow holder

measuring tape (in case I'm lucky)

& the 2 things I never ever forget:
Mt. Dew & Milk Duds

This definately payed off for you, I forgot about the toilet paper.
 
Hmm.. let's see. I did my inventory last night actually. And today is the day I wash ALL washable clothing in scent free, then it goes in my tub to the woods to sit out. Night I get to camp I'll hang ALL items up outside under cover to be scent free in the morning...

All my deer cleaning gear is at the camp so I don't have to carry as much in with me.

I need a range finder BAD!! But this year my big purchase was my climber so I gotta wait a little bit longer for a range finder.

Vanilla? Or were you saying what you bring is vanilla... why would you bring vanilla to a stand???

several people ive talked to mentioned that it has helped with attracting deer closer. Im trying it this year on public land. Results still pending...
