With season fast approaching, I'm seeing if anyone is interested in doing some squirrel hunting. Straight to the point, I have no one to hunt with. My daughter will occasionally...when she's not at work. My schedule is pretty tight because of taking care of the boy. Monday and Thursday are really my only possible days...and the occasional school holiday. I have a good place to hunt in eastern Grainger county...lots of grays and fox.
Because of health issues, I don't like being in remote places alone. So....if interested, please let me know.

We don't squirrel hunt nearly as much as we did when I was a kid, but still enjoy getting out a couple days. I don't enjoy hunting in the heat much, especially with them dang mosquitoes and chiggers. My boy and I are in Kingsport, but might be able to run with you a day in September before archery opens and the mornings get a little cooler.

Hit me up during the later part of season. I usually try to hunt tva land on Cherokee with my dog. He isn't very good because he won't bark at one treed but he's white and hunts pretty close and that makes his bouncing easy to see lol.

The land I hunt is TVA on Cherokee. It's old family land...we have a cemetery there. Access by boat...if that's okay?

How old is he? I had a rat terrier that wouldn't bark treed till he was 2 but the wait paid off and he was an excellent squirrel dog for the next 12 years.

He would probably benefit from hunting with a dog that barks on the tree.

Bit far for me to travel. I'm in the same boat. Getting old and having a hard time getting around, although I still can get around in the woods. I'm about done deer hunting because it's to much work to do everything by myself. Happy trails and good luck out there.

I've been contemplating giving up deer hunting for 3-4 years. It's just so tough to get deer out of the woods now. I'm still hunting them, just have to plan out where I hunt. Here on the farm isn't an issue...I'll take a tractor to retrieve them. Up at the lake...I try to stay close and .... uphill from the lake. Dragging downhill isn't difficult. My health is catching up to me fast...and it sucks!!

When you need some help at the lake I will give you my number and you can text me if I'm down there. I only hunt there a few times per year, but I'll help as much as possible. I know your dilemma as I have the same issue. My back is junk. So are my knees but 2 worn out hunters is better than 1.

I appreciate that. Maybe we can help each other and extend our... hunting.
