I recently moved to Knoxville and I am looking for for a WMA to hunt turkeys this spring. I would like to hear some opinions of the few that are out here. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You can look up last years harvest reports and see what each WMA recorded for kill numbers to help give you an idea of turkey populations on each of the WMA's around you.

Greene county in Cherokee NF and adjacent areas have big turkey populations. It's mountain hunting though, if your not in shape your not gonna like it. Greene Co is a turkey factory :)

So long to the flat fields of West Tn . Thank y'all for the help.

There's quite a few birds on the tva land up and down Tellico Lake. It's about 30miles North of Maryville. I've never turkey hunted it but seen a bunch deer hunting and heard of a lot of folks that's killed birds there.

Around bout what TVA land are you talking about. I know where the telco lake proper is but I consider that south of Maryville. It's off of east coast telco parkway.
