I hunted a couple of gobblers that liked to hang together on some private land I have. I hunted them 3 days and finally Friday after 3 hours I got one within 40 yards and blew it :( I didn't hunt yesterday but went today to a local wma and I called a bird up within 30 yards and I must have forgot to put a shell in the chamber. When the firing pin punched that empty chamber the gobbler exploded in the air. I love turkey season

when you have blown it, keep hunting harder.... that's what I've had to do this spring, you will get one here soon. Are yall gonna try and come to the WMA over here again?

Hope so. My wifes schedule is up in the air so we are waiting to see. I am tempted to get up early one morning and come down. I would love to get back before season close's.

Hunting is still good there, although today was quiet during midday. It's been hit or miss as far as midday gobbling. Usually at least a bird or two gobble good on roost. Can't complain about the turkey, just my mistakes I have made a few times lol

Yep I am good at making mistakes and even better at finding new ways to mess up :D
I guarantee I got you beat after this morning.... First time trying for #4 with the bow, couldn't have panned out more perfectly, except that I shot the top of a rock right in front of me.
