Archery Den just got a bunch of the Easton Flatline Surgical arrows. Anybody plan on trying them for hunting?
Crow Terminator said:UT -- I hunted with the LightSpeeds this past year. The Flatlines are the same shaft, just with straighter tolerances than the LightSpeeds. They use the same size components and all, BUT the FlatLines use a different nock and sport a lighter weight insert. What I ran into with them was they are extremely thin walled. That's how they make them so light and thus fast. I had two of them shatter in mid flight last year due to cracking, and I went through my shafts and found a couple more that had cracked in the same spot, and just hadn't shattered yet.
