So I made a mistake due to time constraints yesterday...I worked a bird to 50 yards and couldn't get him to commit the other 20 to put him in bow range for me. I thought he had worked off as I had lost sight of him for 15 minutes and I needed to tend to some business. Long story short he was only 10 yards further than when I lost sight of him and when I got up he putted out...(dang rookie move). I really liked this bird and am focused on killing him now that he has won the first round. He was by himself and the area he's in is a semi isolated 500 acres of timber. I know birds become call shy and learn your tactics quickly after they bust you. I wasn't using decoys so I didn't educate him in that way. What should I consider when pursuing this bird now that he knows I'm after him?
