The woods are so quiet this evening. No breeze, birds, or squrriels. With the dry leaves I don't think a deer could sneak up on me if it wanted to.

I had the same thing going on during my sit this morning, couple times it felt like the scene in the movies where everything hides and goes dead quiet before the monster shows up.

I noticed it too, except for what was obviously a 50 lb squirrel.

I got skunked. I just think today in general was a bad day for deer movement. Went to a good spot this morning and only seen 1 lone 50lbs fawn. Then this evening to a different property 5 miles away, and nothing.
I saw nada today. I think the East TN rut has passed. Secondary rut should start in about 2-3 weeks.

I think your right. All the scrapes have gone cold.
I saw bucks chasing does all over the place this morning as I was out running errands. Rut is still on in my neck of the woods
Maybe it was right today

Saw three different bucks chasing this morning here in East Tennessee. Thirteen total deer…it is on!

When I first looked at the forecast a few days ago and last night the wind was supposed to have a pretty good shift from north to south today, but it just never happened in my neck of the woods

The past two evening sits have been hear a pin drop quiet.
I seen some still active today after hunting indid a little in season scouting at this new place I've been hunting. All the leaves out of scrapes I seen with fresh hove marks .
