All this TSS talk got me thinking. I have a Rossi 20 gauge single shot youth gun with a modified choke barrel. I also have an adult stock for it. My son killed his first turkey with it then moved up to a 12. I wonder what the effective range would be with the modified barrel and 3" TSS.

I would be shocked if it didn't have a lethal pattern at 35-40. I've seen some guns pattern better with modified choking than with full/turkey constrictions. Get a few shells and give it a whirl.

My thoughts too. 30-35 yards for sure, if it will shoot worth a darn. You have to test it to know for sure. No two guns/barrels/chokes are EXACTLY the same.

I remember it was good out to 30 yards with the old Extended Range 3" #5's. I'm going to try some TSS in it.
