Checked the Elite site for a dealer and the closest Elite dealer to me was at High Country in Dunlap.
Does that seem right? That one manufacturer would sell a
competitors product? Or am I mistaken in thinking that
is the High Country company store?

Plenty pro shop's carry competitors lines. my local shop carries mathews, bowtech, hoyt, alpine, and pickin up pse.

I'd love to shoot an elite, but that is too far a drive for me cause I aint that serious of a buyer yet.

That does seem a little weird.

I shot a fellow's Elite at an ASA event last year. It was a very nice bow....I beginning to think I love them all :D

From what I have found out, Elite makes the forgings for HCA risers and the listing of HCA being a dealer is a mistake.
