BEAVERTON, Ore. – The Elite 11 Finals is another opportunity for Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic quarterback and Tennessee commit Jarrett Guarantano to get better.

He arrived in Oregon on Sunday confident, ready to learn, ready to work and ready to recruit.

The list he's recruiting is long.

"Trying for Kyle Davis, (Donnie) Corley, trying for (Binjimen) Victor out of Florida, of course you have Kareem (Walker), (Jordan) Fuller, Rashan (Gary), trying to see what's going on with (Elijah) Holyfield. Of course there is the defensive tackle Derrick Brown and Nigel Warrior, Nigel Knott, those are a couple guys I know on the list for big-time guys."

Ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the country's No. 2 dual-threat quarterback, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Guarantano committed to the Vols in April. The pledge has strengthened since then.

"Me and Coach (Mike) DeBord, ever since he got there he's been telling me I was his favorite quarterback. Me and his relationship has really gotten stronger. We talk a few times a week about life stuff and football. I think he's a great coach and it should be a fun three, four or five years."

Guarantano knows there will be plenty of talent around him as Tennessee took huge classes in 2014 and 2015, overhauling the roster with highly-ranked guys at every position.

"This year we're going to have less recruits because of how many they've had the last two years," Guarantano said. "I think we're going to have a little less recruits but still have a great class and get the players we need to have a successful future."

Great news,he will be a player for sure. With all these great QB recruits,I'm sure one or two will transfer but that is a great problem to have
