Decided to do a ride/walkabout and check some stands this afternoon. Ended up in a blind for a few minutes overlooking a 3 week old food plot and had 2 does come in. unfortunately they came in downwind and got spooked. After they left, I headed up to another plot to check a camera and drove up on 2 feeding. Got within 20 yards, stopped the sxs, and watched them for 40 minutes. They saw me drive up but never spooked. Eventually, they left and I pulled the camera Card. Have had does in that plot every day since planting it, as well as turkeys, coyotes, and a young 8. With a sparse acorn crop, they seem to be hitting the plots. As I was leaving that plot, I saw another deer in the woods below the plot. This cool weather had them moving.

With this cool snap, I saw a huge spike in deer use of food plots on Thursday night and Friday morning.
That's crazy because I saw the exact opposite on my cameras. I can only assume that a few acorns started dropping somewhere because our field activity went down Friday-Saturday-Sunday.

I'm seeing the same major decline in pictures this week

That would make perfect sense. We have zero acorns.
