3rd Muzzy morning hunt, first 2 were blanks……
This fella came thru on my right side…. Saw antlers but went on down thru the thick stuff. Couple grunts sent this way… 5 minutes he's headed across holler 80 yds below me. Sent a couple grunts and flipped the doe can couple times…. He turns and gives the directional stare….. gets out of sight.
Few more prayer grunts and can bleats sent out…
Couple minutes he's coming back up ridge , hits the old logging road and turns left. Straight toward me. Checking him for size and finally decided he made me plenty happy to see him.
Passed in front and got to my right side for a nice shot of maybe 8yds.
Saw him rear and crash bout 70 yds…..
Blind man could follow the carnage.
295 gr hollow point powerbelt did it's thing again…… thundering hit…. Mushroomed nicely and lodged in the skin on opposite side.
Yep, I'm a fan of them!!!! Same result on ever deer I've shot with them.
