Some of you may have already seen my previous Facebook "Tuna Posts," but if you haven't I have returned from one of the most grueling, yet epic fishing trips I've ever experienced. It is hard to describe, but I did my very best here: http://bit.ly/2wE2LLK

Some photos here, but many more in the story Photo Gallery or the video included with the story.

I did that same type trip this past June with Jamie Gaspard out of Port Fourchon, LA. (a few miles west of Grand Isle)

We brought 1200# of Yellowfin and Blackfin back in. Plus 12 big snapper and some mahi-mahi.

Ended up being a 28 hour trip for us :)

Have him booked again for next year.

Day after we fished with Jamie, we fished with the best trout guide in Louisiana - Aaron Pierce.

We caught 140 seatrout in 4 hours before TS Cindy came ashore and the winds got too much.

Me and a friend brought back about 450-500# of fillets and jumbo shrimp (2.39 per pound)

Saweeeet!!!!
Them dang tuna are unreal strong and fast! They will bring you to your knees! A thirty pound blackfin on relatively light tackle liked to kill me one time.
Congrats!! That's some good steaks right there!!
Looks like y'all had some cobia fun as well!

Great trip. How much does Jamie charge? Does he chase redfish?

$3400 plus tip and fish cleaning. 6 people max.

No, Jamie just does the tuna trip and snapper on your way back in.

Aaron will chase redfish. We've caught a bunch with him, especially if the wind gets up and we get pushed into the marsh.

Wow! Looks like some great fishing. If anyone wants to put a similar trip together I would love to be a part of it.
Can make just about any date as I am retired. Keep me in mind.
