I've done several of my own euro mounts and have one ready now for whitening. I've got the blue bottle in the barn and it's a clear liquid but thinking I mixed it with a powder or something before brushing onto the skull. Is my memory correct and if so what is it? Found the same thing on Amazon in a cream (red bottle) and wondering if that would do it by itself.

There is a powder that my taxidermist buddy used in the past to mix with it, but I don't know what it was. I have used the liquid before but had to mix with water and used it all each time.

I now use the creme. I take a small paint brush and brush it on. Let it sit for 24-48 hours and rinse off. I have been using the same gallon for a while now.

I don't normally mix the liquid with a cream. If using the liquid I set the skull in a container and fill with the liquid above the teeth line and use a turkey baster to wet the skull 2-3 times a day for a couple days.

If using cream, I mix with basic white powder that salons use to bleach hair and cover the skull really well for a few days.

Salon 40 is what I use and it works great. Coat it liberally with a brush, cover tightly with Saran Wrap for 24 hrs, remove, rinse and repeat at least one more time, maybe twice, just depends on how 'white' you want it.
