Shot this bird at evening roost. Had a blast messing with hens for an hour. They finally roosted above me and continued to scould me. Then they flew down and rattled me some more. Then they flew up again in the tree and just watched me. They were out about 50 yards. This whole time the toms were gobblin but wouldnt committ. Finally after some sweet calling, LOL, he came to 15 yards. 11 inch beard, short spurs (maybe 1/2). Got home and wife pulled 7 ticks off me. I have been forgetting to use and spray. Had a great day. I hope everone else had as much fun as I did. The only sad thing was my neighbor boy couldnt go this evening.
