I've just had one of them weeks where everything that could go wrong at work went wrong. I've had people coming at me from every angle. I'm stressed and tired and was just ready to relax after work today.

I decided to shoot the bow a little. I got a new release and was trying it out. After a dozen shots, I decided to switch back to my other release for comparison.

On the first shot with my old release the bow made a loud "thwack!" sound. I couldn't see my arrow anywhere. What the heck was that?

I kept looking.. and finally realized all 3 of my arrows were sitting on the tailgate.
I didn't even put an arrow on there. I dry fired it like a moron.

I looked the bow over, and nothing seems to be wrong. I inspected every inch of the limbs and string. I was very cautious, but finally gave it another shot - this time with an arrow. It still shoots fine.

Man.. it's just been one of them weeks!!!!

Was at a 3D shoot a few weeks ago and one of the guys in my group was up to shoot. He came to full draw and was in "the mode" of full concentration. I happened to notice nothing was on his arrow rest and hollered "whoa whoa whoa....no arrow" and he was able to let down before he fired the release. His bow was a two week old bow too. He didn't shoot good the rest of the shoot it got to him so bad.

In the 20 years of stick and string.. I can honestly say I have never tried to shoot my bow without a arrow.. lol. hey..dont worry..it only gets worse with age..lol

Dry fired my z7 extreme first week I had it last year! When I went to shoot my arrow nock must of been cracked and it busted and the arrow fell to the ground scared the crap out of me. Bow was fine!!!
