Does anyone know anything about these? Seems like people like excalibur and I foud this model as a new packeage cheap.

I had one and it was a pretty good bow. The one I had would shoot around 290 FPS with a 425 gr arrow. The scope that comes with them are set up for a 150 grain head, it doesn't have the speed ring. The synthetic rail sort I deadens the sound some. You might want to be aware that that bow is being replaced by the Matrix Grizzly which is about the same only a little narrower in the limbs and a little shorter in the stock and a little lighter also. It's a 200 lb draw weight vs 175 for the Axiom but both are rated at 305 fps. And that's because the draw length of the Axiom is 14.5" while the Grizzly is 11.5 " I believe. The Grizzly will retail for about the same as the Axiom. If it were me, and it's not, unless I found an excellent deal on the Axiom I would go for the Grizzly. You can check it out on Excaliburs web site. Looks like a nice bow. Nothing wrong with the Axiom though and has plenty of power. The Grizzly should be out this month. Hope that helps some.

The Axiom scope is a fixed power scope that is calibrated for the 150 gr head exclusively. You could probably still use the 125 gr without any problems. The other scopes they have are a variable, seems to me it's a 2.5 - 3 or something like that. Anyhow the speed ring allows you to use different size heads so you can line up the scope better. It's more or less a fine tuning ring used to adjust for trajectory. The guys on the Excalibur forum could tell you more about that and tell you anything and everything about any Excalibur xbow there is. Now that I have confused you good luck. Excalibur makes a really good bow.

Thanks, I like to learn something new. Good thing is I have a lot of room to do so.
That what I hunt with, I bought it last year off of ebay new. I like the speed, accurate,and very light weight. I not been able to get a deer with it yet, but I can hit good up to 40 yards with a lot of power. Easy to pull back and changed the string yourself, plus you can let it down with out shooting it. I shoot the arrows that come with it and 125 fixed blades.
The only complaint I have is how wide it is, but all and all the best crossbow that i have own yet. Hope this helps
