My wife got me the Micro 335 for our anniversary. I already have the Vortex, so here's a comparison. The Vortex is 16fps faster with the same 150gn weight broadhead. 306 for the Micro and 322 for the Vortex. The Micro is harder to draw, but much easier to handle. The Micro is also quieter, but not significantly so. My wife who is 5'2" couldn't chocolate chip cookie either one. The Micro was too hard at 270lbs of pull, and the stroke was too long on the Vortex. Basically the Micro is perfect for a body building dwarf. At 6ft 220lbs I doubt I could chocolate chip cookie the Micro in a treestand. On the ground is wasn't too bad. Both bows are very accurate and typical Excalibur quality. I prefer the Micro, but have yet to try cocking it in a ground blind. I may have to hit the gym just to use it.

Update: Cocking the micro from a seated position is actually pretty easy. Overall I'm very satisfied with the bow. FWIW, the Nikon Bolt scope is set to the exact speed of the Micro 335 when shooting 150grn broadheads. My point of impact is within 1.5 inches of the reticle marks at 20, 30 and 40 yards. Haven't tried anything further. This bow is super easy to handle and shoot compared to my Vortex.

I love my 335! Shooting a quarter size target at 60yds consistently. The bad is I'm eating threw the serving about every 20 shots. No idea why.

Mine is hard on the serving too, I think all the micros are, although I get more than 20 shots before it starts eating through. I've read that it has to do with the steep angle the string contacts the trigger due to the short limbs. I've read you can smooth the trigger where the string contacts and custom made strings hold up better than factory strings. Make sure you keep your string waxed and the rail lubed. I also keep an extra new string on standby just incase. I'm thinking about buying a serving tool and some serving string and just reserving them myself, it would been cheaper than paying out $40 a pop for new strings.

Want alittle more info regarding excaliburs and strings here is a good source. You may need to polish the claws some with emory cloth Excal triggers a pretty good but I replaced mine with a Trigger Tech. But hit the Excalibur site for lots of good reading and maybe some recommendations specific to Excalibur crossbows and your issue with beating up the serving.
