I am personally in favor of expanding it to 8 teams myself. I think it would make for a more interesting season and do away with this stupid bowl games that mean nothing.

But I go back to what Nick Saban said in (i think 2016) . He said something to the effect that ND??? was in the 5th spot knocking on the door. Were they worthy of a shot at the National Championship? His answer was probably yes but would they have beaten ALABAMA that year for the Championship? Would it have effected the outcome of the championship? I really think not.

Lets take a look at this year. You could expand the teams to 8 this year. Is anyone really beating Clemson or ALABAMA for the title this year? The Answer is likely not.

outcome would remain the same most likely.

I would still tune in for the 1seed bama to face the 8 seed Cincinnati maybe it gets interesting who knows.

Could 7 florida have put everything together with that good offensive they had and fight to the very end against 2Clemson in a nail biter? I think so I mean they just put up 46 against bama and only lost by 8.

Well Ohio State just beat Clemson sooooo.

It would eliminate most criticism of the system, and would more than double the number of bowl games that actually mean something. I habe advocated this very thing for years.
