This is my first year with a bow. I've already ruined one string and had to have it replaced. My shop had to order the new string and it took a few weeks to get my bow back. I'm thinking of ordering an extra string in case I have an accident this season and need a string replaced quickly. Is this a good insurance policy? Do any of you guys keep an extra string just in case?

I do the same as tndeerguy. If you didn't have an old one to use, it would be a good idea. A lot of people, myself included, have a whole back up bow. This way if i cut a string or something, all it takes is a trip back to the house to get me back hunting. Then i can take my time to get my primary bow back in spec & tuned, and not rush it so I can get back hunting.
