This morning I had to pinch myself to make sure we didn't fast-forward to spring. Setting on the stand right after daylight I heard several longbeards gobbling. Deer weren't moving at all today for me. About an hour after fly-down time, I heard a deep gobble tear through the woods that was close. I looked up the ridge I was hunting and could see a longbeard - in full strut. He didn't stay in strut long but he did strut. There was one incredible bird in the lead with another in behind. I've been busted a few times trying to draw back on a turkey from the stand so I was even more worried that I wouldn't pull it off with 2 longbeards coming in. Luckily, they both stopped behind a thicket about 50 yards out & I was able to come to full draw. One stopped at 23 yards out and I put the Slick Trick in the vitals. This bird had an 11" beard and 1" spurs. :thumbup
