Fall season earlier this year?

lol you just noticed? Yeah there were a lot of hunters, myself included, who emailed TWRA several months ago asking for a fall season before thanksgiving so we could kill a thankgiving bird. After all, the turkey was suggested to be the national bird, and Thanksgiving is one of our most important holidays, so why not be allowed to kill your thankgiving turkey. I'm all for it and man I can't wait to start spotting and stalking.

What type of areas do you guys usually look for in the fall time for turkey? For those couple of weeks next weekend I am wanting to go out with my shotgun and do a little turkey huntin.

I haven't done it yet myself but I will be looking for flocks from a distance, trying to figure out where they are moving, then sneaking around and setting up ahead of them for an ambush. Some people will find them, get as close as they can, then run out and bust up the flock in all directions and then hide there and try to call them back together.
