Who on here plans to fall turkey hunt yanahli??? I plan on going to find birds this weekend. If anyone is interested in meeting up one day that would be fun. It is sometimes easier to split a drove with two people, or so I've heard. Hope to get my 6 :)

if I had the money to buy a shotgun in time for fall turkey season, then I would most definitely be doing it, but I probably won't get the gun soon enough because I work part-time and a lot of my savings money goes toward a car (I'm in college).

However I plan to have a shotgun before April so I will definitely be going to Yanahli in the spring.

I totally understand. U better get it before spring because there are plenty of gobblers to go around in that place. I can't wait. Oh, and invest in some snake chaps. Maybe I will see you out there.

Snake chaps? For rattlesnakes? What species of rattlesnake lives out there anyway? Chaps aren't in my budget but I'll at least consider some move of caution for the spring... wouldn't want to step on one and I won't be looking where I step if I'm sneaking around some turkeys.

And yeah maybe we'll meet...but then I might not be in the bigger areas like Iron Bridge and Cheeks Bend, just to avoid the hunting pressure and some of the amateurs who shoot movement. (hey I'm an amateur too but I don't shoot movement)

If you see someone who's 18 and carrying a homemade tube call (and a dead 12" double beard turkey) you may have found me.

Gonna build some natural blinds with some of the dead logs laying out in the woods this winter. That is, after I do a bit of scouting and find some turkey places which shouldn't be too hard.

I've just been told they are out there. Especially in rocky areas. Just keep it in mind. Im just passing on info that was given to me. Lol. Funny about the 12" double beard. I will be looking for u for sure.
