Me and a buddy went to culleoka this evening, spotted a strutter out in a field with a few hens, eased down the fence line about 100 yards away from the turkeys, I hung back with the video camera and Chris crawled out in the field with the fan just a little ways, the gobbler saw him and strutted right to us, the video turned out good I think. 9" beard, had some beard rot, 1 1/8" spurs, 22lbs

I wish I had thought about doing that in the past several times. The videos I've seen of this the gobblers don't look like they ever gobble once they've seen the fanner and either come on the run or strut their way in. Correct?

If I had of been in that truck driving down the road I'd have had to pull over and watch.

A couple of times I've had them gobble while coming to me but most of the time they just come in strutting or running.

Thats where I would have been nervous to have a strutter deke or fan in front of my face. We have had idiots shoot off the highway into our fields.

For the camera man, are you hidden too? I wonder what would happen if two people were fanning? I bet the birds we be all tore up, of course that increases the accident potential.

Awsome! I would love to try that but I only hunt public land and just wouldn't dare trust the other hunters there. Congrats on the bird too.

AT hiker, I was also behind a fan, I had my camera on a small tripod under the fan, as far as two people fanning, it works great too, me and my buddy have doubled a few times doing it that way.
