There are times when you work a bird for hours before he comes in, then there are those times when it seems like seconds. How many of your kills every year turn into those fast and furious hunts( say under 30 min.) where you get him to sound off close and he comes in on a string. The guys who run and gun quite often will obviously have more of these. I usually average one a year, two some years that are fast and furious. What say you?

I usually get 4-5 a year that fall into this category of under 30 min or less. Most all of the birds I kill are dead within an hour of me setting up, and very few are birds that take longer then 2 hours. Those are usually nasty henned up birds.

i would say 70% of mine are that way (fast). Killed 2 last year withing 8mins of me locating them lol

killed 4 last year and guided for 5 other kills. 6 of that 9 where killed withing 30mins of locating/setting up on them

Most of my parcels of land are 50-80 acres that I'm allowed to hunt on. I try to not move too much on them except for right when I get ready to leave. I will run and gun the perimeter of the land at that point. Many times, I have hunted all morning and had no luck, then strike up a bird and kill him within minutes on my last attempt.
