I have a New England Handi Rifle 308 22 inch barrel 1-12 twist. I need to no what will be the most accurate fast burning powder for this rifle and best load for 150 grain bullet?

I would let the rifle tell you which powder and bullet combination shoots the best.

I have found that Varget is pretty tough to beat out of a 308.

Why do you want a fast burning powder?

I like IMR 3031 in the .308. It is one of the faster powders for the .308. One of my all time favorite loads is 44.0/IMR3031/150g. This is a max load in most manuals so approach from below. That load works well in my bolt rifles but it might be a little stiff for the handi. Plateau Hunter

RE 15, Varget, IMR 4064, Win 748 are my favorite powders out of a 308. A 22" barrel is not short for a 308, actually about average.

748 and the 125 NBT is a smoker

Yep, I loaded some 130 gr TTSX with not even a max load of 748 and got 3100 FPS out of it. I'm very close to 3000 FPS with a 150 gr Interbond with a max load of 748.

when I had the 26 invh 700VSSF I was gettin 3200+ with the 130 TNT and a compressed load,,I forget I think it was around 50 grs,,but it would shoot one hole,,just cost too much to shoot,,traded for the 204,,

RL15 and W748 have worked best in my 20 inch barrelled Rem 700. Incidentally the factory Hornady 165 Light Magnum load has been hard to beat reloading.

You asked for fastest burning...all the above mentioned powders are medium burning. The fastest burning for the 150gr bullet I would use for a 20 inch barreled rifle is Hodgdon 4198 or Reloader 7...recoil will be nearly nothing...muzzle blast will be severe and nearly all the charge will be burnt inside the barrel.
