I have felt on my rest to help reduce the noise when the arrow is drawn back...but it seems when i pull it back there is a noise (squeak) sound from where the arrow rubs the rest..i have replaced it twice...anyone have a solution to this...any help would be greatly appreciated...

get some mole skin. It lasts a lot longer. also get it as tight as possible and have your rest drop as early in shot as possible. All of these things will increase the life of your silencing material.

the noise occurs in the draw...when pulling back...similar to i guess chalk on a chalk board....i didnt know if i but some string wax on it if that would help...

what about teflon or graphite powder...just a thought... you could wrap it with teflon tape...I don't know... Or u could get a whisker biscuit... j k .. good luck

i saw an ad last night on what of the hunting shows that told of a product that you can rub on your arrows to reduce the noice and friction...does anyone know what this might be?

Joe I'd just try a new piece of moleskin. Past that I wouldn't really be to keen on putting scented products on my arrow. Alot of products say they are scent free, but if I can smell it, I know the deer can.

I don't know how a Ripcord works differently from a QAD.

I shoot a QAD and it is quiet.
The padding does wear or comes lose, and I replace it with moleskin.

I know with the QAD your can't use any oil or graphite in it.
I thought about doing this to mine as a PM item.

they make some stuff for 3d shooters that is like a lubricant for when you are pulling arrows, i would give that a try

i shoot a QAD and aint got narry a problem

on a side note : i have noticed that since they are filming in HD now you can hear most of the TV folks bows drawing??
FWIW

Keep your arrows clean along with keeping the felt clean and replaced if worn . Arrows will pick up residue from target material and create friction on any rest.

I have used the self sticking Velcro for some applications. It is thick and may affect your arrow impact. So be sure to check your sight in after adding the Vecro. Use the thicker side of the Velcro. I use the side with the tightly packed fibers, not the side with the fibers in rows.
